THE EMOTION SOLUTION

Practical Relief for the Overwhelmed Believer

You know what's true. So why doesn't knowing better always make you feel better?

You know someone else's opinion doesn't determine your worth.

You know one difficult conversation shouldn't ruin the rest of your day.

You know God is with you.

And yet your heart is racing. You're furious. You're replaying the conversation for the fiftieth time. You've shut down. Or you're trying not to cry over something you don't think should affect you this much.

What if the problem isn't that you're too emotional, but that no one ever taught you how your emotional system actually works?

The Emotion Solution is a self-paced educational course for adult Christians who want to better understand their emotions, respond differently when overwhelmed, and integrate psychological understanding with biblical truth.

12 MODULES • 31 CORE AUDIO LESSONS + TRANSCRIPTS

30 GUIDED ACTION TASKS • 10 CHEAT CODE LESSONS

$250 • ONE-TIME PAYMENT • LIFETIME ACCESS

The Emotion Solution is an educational course, not psychotherapy or counseling.

Purchasing the course does not establish a counselor-client relationship with Caty Coffey.

Functioning, but not free.

Maybe your life doesn't look like it's falling apart.

You're working. You're taking care of people. You're showing up. You're getting things done.

But you also know how much energy goes into managing what happens inside you.

• A text changes your mood for the afternoon.

• Someone's tone sends you into overthinking.

• You say yes because saying no feels worse.

• You know you're angry, but underneath the anger there may also be hurt, fear,

disappointment, or something you can't quite name.

• You replay conversations long after they're over.

• Maybe you understand why a pattern exists. Maybe you don't. Either way, you still don't know how to stop getting pulled back into it.

And you're tired of spending so much of your life managing yourself instead of being present for it.

You don't necessarily want a completely different life. You want to feel more like yourself inside the life you already have.

People make more sense than they think they do.

When an emotion seems too big for the situation, when your body reacts before your brain can catch up, or when you keep falling into a pattern you promised yourself you wouldn't repeat, it's easy to conclude:

Why am I like this?

But your thinking brain isn't the only part of you responding.

Your emotions, body, nervous system, past experiences, relationships, beliefs, coping patterns, and present

circumstances can all be part of what's happening.

So your reaction may not make sense to you yet.

That doesn't mean it doesn't make sense.

Once something makes sense, we have somewhere to go.

Maybe you've already tried to make things better.

You've prayed about it. Read Scripture. Reminded yourself what's true. Tried to be more grateful, patient, forgiving, trusting, or self-controlled.

Maybe you've journaled, read the books, listened to the podcasts, learned about boundaries or the nervous system, or even been to therapy.

And some of it may have helped.

But you may still be left wondering:

If I know what's true, why don't I feel more free?

You know God loves you, but rejection can still feel crushing.

You know you can trust Him, but anxiety can still take over.

You know another person's disappointment doesn't determine your worth, but saying no can still flood you with guilt.

There can be a frustrating gap between what you know and believe and what you actually feel, experience, and do.

And closing that gap takes more than collecting another piece of advice or trying harder to make yourself feel differently.

It takes understanding what's actually happening and learning what to do with it.

That's why I created The Emotion Solution.

The Emotion Solution doesn't give every emotional problem the same solution.

Sometimes you need to recognize that your nervous system has shifted into a stress response.

Sometimes you need to stop trying to solve an emotion entirely in your head and notice what's happening in your body.

Sometimes you need to understand why a particular situation affects you so strongly.

Sometimes an old pattern needs to be recognized before you can respond differently.

Sometimes you need a boundary.

Sometimes you need to feel anger without either exploding or pretending you aren't angry.

Sometimes you need to grieve.

Sometimes you need to bring the truth of what you're actually experiencing before God.

The point isn't to memorize another technique. It's to develop a better map for understanding what's happening and deciding what the moment actually needs.

That's the framework you'll practice throughout The Emotion Solution:

UNDERSTAND → NOTICE → MAKE SENSE OF IT → RESPOND DIFFERENTLY → INTEGRATE

Learn it. Notice it. Make sense of it. Practice it. Integrate it.

You want to feel less emotional. That makes sense.

When anxiety takes over your whole day, anger comes on faster than you can stop it, one comment sends you into shame, or you can't quit replaying something that happened, of course you want to feel less.

You don't want every hard conversation to affect you for hours.

You don't want your body going into overdrive when your thinking brain knows you're okay.

You don't want to shut down, lash out, spiral, overthink, or spend so much energy trying to get yourself back to normal.

The goal isn't to make you feel everything more intensely. It's to help your emotions become less overwhelming and less in charge of what happens next.

The Emotion Solution teaches you how to begin recognizing what's happening before an automatic reaction completely takes over.

You'll learn to notice what's happening in your body instead of trying to solve everything in your head, understand why certain situations affect you so strongly, and stay present with an emotion long enough to respond to it instead of immediately suppressing it, judging it, escaping it, or acting from it.

You'll also learn to recognize patterns that may have made sense once but aren't serving you well anymore and to bring your actual emotional experience before God instead of believing you have to clean it up first.

The aim is more choice, less reactivity, and emotions that don't have to feel so big, so confusing, or so hard to move through.

Three phases. One connected process.

PHASE 1

RECOGNIZE & REFRAME

Before you can respond differently, you need to become better at recognizing what's happening.

You'll learn about emotions, your nervous system, your body, and some of the common ways we try to manage uncomfortable internal experiences.

You'll begin building emotional and body awareness so that instead of simply thinking, I'm overwhelmed, you can become more curious and specific about what's actually happening.

You'll begin learning the language of your own emotional system.

PHASE 2

REGULATE & RELEASE

Next, you'll explore how your brain, body, triggers, and past learning can influence present reactions.

You'll practice body-based strategies, emotional awareness, thought mapping, honest prayer, biblical lament, and self-compassion.

The goal isn't to force yourself to be calm all the time.

It's to become more capable of staying present with what's happening and choosing what comes next.

PHASE 3

RESTORE

Finally, you'll apply what you're learning to some of the places emotional patterns often become especially visible: family relationships, anger, boundaries, and forgiveness.

Because understanding the past matters, but the purpose isn't to live there.

The goal is freedom in the present, not permanent residence in the past.

Take a look inside

The Emotion Solution.

This isn't a course you'll simply listen to and forget.

You'll learn through audio lessons, have complete written transcripts available for every core lesson, and use guided action tasks to begin applying what you're learning to your own patterns.

LISTEN • READ • PRACTICE • APPLY

You won't just learn about it. You'll practice it.

Information can give you an “aha.” But understanding something and being able to respond differently when you're overwhelmed aren't the same thing.

That's why The Emotion Solution pairs teaching with guided action tasks that help you put what you're learning into practice.

You won't simply learn how emotions, your brain, and your nervous system work. You'll connect the dots between what's happening in your mind and body, why you respond the way you do, and what may actually help.

You won't simply learn that your past affects the present. You'll explore how family patterns, beliefs, past experiences, and coping strategies may still be shaping reactions you've understood but haven't known how to change.

Instead of treating the parts of yourself you don't like as problems to get rid of, you'll learn to understand what they may be trying to protect you from and relate to yourself with more curiosity and compassion.

And your faith isn't tacked on at the end. You'll practice bringing your real emotional experience before God through honest prayer, biblical lament, and reflection grounded in Scripture, without believing you have to clean it up first.

This is where understanding becomes practice, and practice creates more room for choice.

Here's exactly what you get.

What could become possible in your actual life?

The point of learning how emotions work isn't to become endlessly focused on your emotions.

It's actually the opposite.

It's to have more of yourself available for your life.

Maybe something happens that would normally send you spiraling, and you recognize what's happening before it takes over the rest of your day.

Maybe someone says something that hurts, and instead of replaying the conversation for hours, you understand why it hit so hard and know what to do with what you're feeling.

Maybe you notice anger sooner and can respond to what it's telling you before it turns into an explosion, shutdown, or quiet resentment.

Maybe someone's tone still bothers you, but it doesn't determine the rest of your evening.

Maybe you can have a hard conversation without losing yourself in it.

Maybe the things that used to trigger a huge reaction don't hit quite as hard anymore because you're no longer carrying so much of the past into the present.

And when difficult emotions do come, you know how to feel them, understand what they're telling you, and move through them instead of stuffing them, getting stuck in them, or waiting for them to finally go away.

God didn't design us to avoid difficult emotions. He designed us with the capacity to feel them.

The goal is to become less afraid of your emotions and more capable of processing them, so they can rise, communicate what needs your attention, and move through instead of taking over or sticking around.

And maybe all of that leaves more room for the things your emotions have been crowding out: your relationships, creativity, rest, play, connection with God, and the ordinary moments of a life you actually want to be present for.

You can feel deeply without being hijacked by what you feel.

You don't need a crisis to decide you'd like something to change.

Nothing has to be catastrophically wrong.

In fact, maybe that's part of what has made it so easy to put this off.

You can keep functioning. You can keep showing up. You can keep handling what needs to be handled and telling yourself you'll work on the rest later.

And maybe the concern isn't that your life is going to fall apart.

Maybe it's that five years from now, you'll still be having some version of the same struggle.

Still replaying conversations long after they're over.

Still avoiding the conflict you know you need to address.

Still saying yes when you want to say no, then feeling resentful afterward.

Still getting pulled into reactions that feel bigger than you want them to.

Still able to explain your patterns better than you're able to respond differently when they happen.

You don't need to scare yourself into changing.

And you don't have to wait until life becomes unbearable to decide you'd like something to be different.

The Emotion Solution is designed to fit into your real life.

01

GO AT YOUR OWN PACE

Work through the course privately, on your own schedule.

There are no group meetings, weekly deadlines, or required live sessions. With lifetime access, you can keep moving, slow down when something needs more time, pause when life gets busy, and come back when you're ready.

02

GO THROUGH IT WITH PEOPLE YOU TRUST

Want some company along the way? Invite a few trusted friends to go through The Emotion Solution alongside you.

Each person works through the lessons and personal exercises independently, then you can meet to talk about what you're learning, encourage one another, and create some accountability.

You decide what you share. There's no requirement to disclose personal experiences, action-task responses, or anything you'd prefer to keep private.

Each person needs their own enrollment. This is a peer-led, self-directed way to use the course, not group counseling or therapy.

03

BRING WHAT YOU'RE LEARNING INTO THERAPY

If you're already working with a therapist, you may choose to bring concepts, questions, or exercises from the course into your sessions.

Your therapist can help you decide whether, and how, particular material fits your individual therapeutic work. The Emotion Solution does not replace individualized clinical care.

However you choose to use it, The Emotion Solution gives you a framework and language for making more sense of what's happening and practicing a different response.

Is The Emotion Solution for you?

The Emotion Solution was created for adult Christians who are functioning on the outside, but tired of feeling hijacked by what keeps happening on the inside.

You may recognize yourself in some of these thoughts:

• I know what I believe. Why doesn't knowing better always help me feel or respond differently?

• I can analyze what happened all day long, but that doesn't stop me from getting hijacked again the next time.

• Sometimes my anxiety, anger, shame, or hurt feels bigger than the situation seems to call for.

• I don't want my emotions running my life, but I don't want to keep stuffing, judging, or talking myself out of them either.

• I don't understand why I keep reacting this way, especially when I know better.

• I know my past has shaped me, but I don't want to spend the rest of my life living there.

• I'm tired of reacting automatically and then wondering why I did it again.

• I want psychological understanding and my Christian faith to belong in the same conversation.

You don't need a psychology background.

You don't need the perfect words for what you're experiencing.

And you don't need to understand exactly why you're struggling before you begin.

MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR

Hi, I'm Caty.

I'm Caty Coffey, LPC, LMHC. I'm a Licensed Professional Counselor in Mississippi and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Florida with more than 20 years of experience in the mental health field.

I earned my Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy and Counseling from Reformed Theological Seminary after double-majoring in psychology and music at Florida State University.

But my interest in emotional health isn't only professional. I know what it's like to deeply believe what is true, genuinely want to live according to it, and still wonder why my emotions aren't getting the message.

Over the years, both personally and professionally, one thing has become increasingly clear to me:

People make more sense than they think they do.

Our thoughts matter. Our emotions matter. Our bodies matter. Our histories and relationships matter. And our faith matters.

I don't believe we have to choose between taking our emotional and psychological lives seriously and taking our Christian faith seriously.

We can tell the truth about both.

That's the perspective behind The Emotion Solution: psychological education, practical tools, and biblical truth brought into the same conversation so you can better understand what's happening inside you and practice responding differently.

Bring the part of you that doesn't make sense yet.

Bring the anxiety that seems disproportionate.

Bring the anger that comes on too quickly.

Bring the conversation you can't stop replaying.

Bring the shutdown.

Bring the overthinking.

Bring the emotion you've reasoned with a hundred times that still doesn't seem to have gotten the message.

You don't have to understand all of it before you begin.

That's what the course is for.

People make more sense than they think they do.

Maybe it's time for you to make a little more sense to yourself.

Questions You May Be Asking

What if I know something needs to change, but I don't have much energy left to work on it?

Maybe that's exactly why you've kept pushing through. You get overwhelmed, anxious, angry, hurt, or shut down. Eventually it passes. You feel better, life moves on, and doing something about it stops feeling so urgent.

Until something triggers you again, and you're right back there.

Pushing through can get you through the moment. It doesn't change the pattern that keeps hijacking you.

The Emotion Solution gives you a step-by-step process for understanding what's happening and learning what to do differently, at a pace that fits your life.

What if I've tried so many things that I'm not sure anything will actually change?

Maybe you've prayed about it. Tried to think differently. Told yourself to calm down. Worked on your boundaries. Promised yourself you wouldn't react that way again.

And then something happens, and suddenly you're right back in the anxiety, anger, shame, hurt, overthinking, or shutdown you thought you had moved past.

You can't change a pattern you don't understand.

The Emotion Solution teaches you what's happening when your emotions hijack you, why your reactions can feel so powerful, and what to do with them. You'll learn to recognize your patterns, understand what they're telling you, and practice new responses so the same emotions don't have to keep running the show.

I've already read books, leaned in to spiritual practices, listened to podcasts, or been to therapy. How is this different?

You've probably learned useful things along the way. But knowing more doesn't automatically change what happens when your emotions hijack you.

The Emotion Solution teaches you what's actually happening in your emotions, thoughts, body, nervous system, relationships, and patterns, and how those pieces fit together. Then you'll learn what to do with what you're experiencing instead of just trying to calm down, think differently, push through, or wait for the feeling to pass.

The goal isn't more information. It's knowing what's happening, what your emotions are telling you that you need, and what to do next.

Is this mostly information, or will I actually do something with what I'm learning?

You won't just learn about your emotions. You'll practice doing something different with them.

Throughout the course, 30 guided action tasks help you apply what you're learning to your own triggers, thoughts, beliefs, body responses, relationships, and patterns. You'll practice noticing what's happening, making sense of it, and using specific tools to respond differently.

The goal isn't to finish the course knowing more about emotions. It's to know what to do when your own emotions show up.

What if I'm worried I'll buy it and not finish it?

You don't need to find hours of extra time or race through The Emotion Solution to make progress.

The course is broken into individual lessons and action tasks so you can learn something, practice it, and begin using it before you ever reach the final module. And with lifetime access, you can slow down, pause when life gets busy, and return when you're ready.

The goal isn't to finish quickly. It's to let what you're learning change what you do.

What if I prefer reading to listening?

Every core audio lesson includes a complete written transcript, so you can listen, read, or use both, depending on how you learn best.

Whichever format you choose, I recommend moving through the modules and lessons in order because each one builds on what you've already learned.

Is The Emotion Solution only for women?

No. The Emotion Solution is designed for adult Christian men and women who want to better understand and navigate their emotions.

Is The Emotion Solution therapy?

No. The Emotion Solution is an educational, self-paced course. It does not include psychotherapy, counseling, coaching, diagnosis, individualized treatment, or a counselor-client or coaching relationship with Caty Coffey.

Can I use The Emotion Solution while I'm in therapy?

Yes. The Emotion Solution can be used alongside therapy, but it doesn't replace individualized clinical care.

You can bring concepts, questions, or exercises from the course into your sessions and talk with your therapist about how they fit with the work you're already doing together.

Can I go through the course with friends or a small group?

Absolutely. You can go through The Emotion Solution alongside a few trusted people.

Each person works through the lessons and action tasks independently, then you can meet to talk about what you're learning, encourage one another, and stay accountable as you put it into practice.

It can also create space for the kind of honest conversations that are often hard to find. Instead of navigating “this stuff” alone, you can grow alongside other believers who are learning the same language and working through the same material.

You always decide what you share, and each participant needs their own enrollment. The group is peer-led and self-directed, not group counseling, therapy, or coaching.

Is there live coaching or a group component?

No. The Emotion Solution is a self-paced course. Your enrollment does not include live coaching, scheduled meetings, or a facilitated group.
